Skinet AI · Effective September 28, 2026 (updated)

In short: Skinet AI has no servers and no accounts. We don't collect, see or sell anything. Your questions go straight from your device to the AI services you choose, using your own API keys.

Who we are

Skinet AI (the "App") lets you ask several AI assistants the same question and compare their answers. It is published by Digital Mayhem LLC ("we", "us").

Information we collect

None. The App has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash-reporting service of its own. Digital Mayhem LLC does not operate any server that receives your questions, answers, files or keys.

Information stored on your device

WhatWhere
Your API keys for the AI servicesYour device's secure Keychain. If you use iCloud Keychain, Apple syncs them end-to-end encrypted to your other Apple devices. On Apple Watch they are handed over from your iPhone over Apple's encrypted connection.
Conversation history, Teacher Tools templates and settingsOnly on the device where you created them. You can delete single conversations, or everything, in the App (Settings → Erase All Data).

Your permission before anything is shared

The first time you open the App, it shows what is sent to the AI services and to whom, and asks for your permission. Nothing is sent to any AI service before you agree, and you can review or withdraw permission at any time in Settings → AI Data Sharing (the AI features then stop working until you agree again).

How your questions are processed by AI providers

When you ask something, the App sends your question, any photos or file text you attach, and the recent conversation directly to the AI services you have selected, using your API key with that service:

Each provider receives it through its business API and handles it under its own API terms and privacy policy (the ones you agreed to when you created your API key), which include protections for your data consistent with this policy; providers may process it in other countries. The content is used only to answer your request. You choose which services receive each question. Please don't include sensitive personal information — for example passwords, financial or health details, or real student names — in questions or attachments.

If you paste an article link into Teacher Tools, the App downloads that page directly from the website to read its text.

Location and web search

The App does not use your device's GPS or location services. In Deal Finder and What's for Dinner? you can type a town, neighborhood or ZIP code so the AIs can look up stores and restaurants near you. That text is sent, as part of your question, only to the AI services you selected, and the App remembers the last place you typed on your device so you don't have to enter it again.

Some AI services search the web to answer — for example for current prices, places or news. Those searches are run by the AI provider under its own privacy policy, not by us.

Camera, photos and files

The App only uses your camera, photo library or files when you choose to attach something. Photos are picked with the system photo picker, so the App only sees the photos you select. Nothing is accessed in the background.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple tells the App on your device whether a subscription is active.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
